A Meissen tankard
19th Century, blue crossed swords and numeral 2 mark
Of cylindrical fluted form with spreading base and foliage-moulded loop handle, the central scroll-bordered cartouche painted with a vignette of horsemen and hounds in woods setting upon a wild boar, the mug elsewhere applied with scrolling flowers and foliage (cover lacking, losses to flowers and foliage)
6¼ in. (16 cm.) high
