A Meissen figure of a house keeper
Circa 1890, blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 122, incised 2654., painted numeral 20
Wearing a mop cap, a lace-edged purple overcoat and flowered skirt, seated in a high backed chair at a small marble topped table, writing in to a ledger, at her feet a basket of wine bottles, a bowl of lemons and various parcels, on a shaped rectangular scroll-moulded base (some restoration)
