Two Meissen figures of street vendors
Circa 1900, blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummern, incised 4. and 6., painted numerals
Modelled as a poultry seller, wearing a blue edged round hat, pale-yellow coat and striped breeches, holding a brace of pheasant and a basket of eggs (chip to one bord and brim of hat), the other modelld as a fruit seller, wearing a pale-blue bodice, flowered and striped slirt and lilac apron, with a basket-work tray of fruit on her head (handle of tray missing)
