With skeletonised finely chased and engraved fully jewelled gilt-finished movement, the skeletonised rotor bearing the initials GG, the three-armed one minute tourbillon carriage with monometallic balance, the skeletonised dial with luminous dot numerals and luminous hands, three white subsidiary dials indicating day, month combined with leap year indication, date combined with constant seconds, a blue dial with aperture for phases of the moon, in massive octagonal case with stepped bezel, octagonal crown, the glazed back secured by eight screws, screwed octagonal bar lugs, together with 18K gold Gérald Genta hidden clasp, case, dial and movement signed

This watch is the impersonation of the lucky number eight: in addition to its octagonal case it also features an octagonal crown, octagonal bar lugs, octagonal mounts on the bracelet, octagonal presentation box and, last but not least, an octagonal setting pin.
