The lower body painted with alternate panels of fruiting peach and floral sprays, the stems forming shou characters, below a band of ribboned "objects" and peach sprays encircling the waist and further fruit and flower panels on the upper body, each facet reserved on an iron-red ground, the neck with a blue key pattern

A very similar vase in blue and white only, unmarked like the present example but dated to the Wanli period, is illustrated in Wenwu, 1993:11, p. 93, fig. 3. Besides the addition of iron-red the present example also has a longer and more elegant neck then the vase illustrated in Wenwu
