Original cloth, title stamped in gilt on front cover (extremities a little faded, corners bumped). Provenance: "Colonial Office" (manuscript inscription on title) -- Lord Stanley of Alderley (bookplate).
Tighe's appeal contains very good reproductions of the two manuscript maps by Norden and Collier's engraved map of 1742. Also included are plans of Windsor Park in 1845 with proposals for removing the roads bisecting the park. The appeal was also issued in a six-page version in Eton in the same year.
