Title printed in red and black within woodcut border, title of second part within large historiated woodcut border, 4 woodcuts, 2 within full-page woodcut borders, woodcut initials, double columns. (Title with a few ink stains and marginal waterstaining, C7 [fol. 231] with long crease caused by printing flaw, some light waterstaining, stronger at beginning and end, light browning or spotting.) Contemporary Italian blind-stamped calf over pasteboards, central cruciform design composed of knotwork stamps, gilt fleurons at corners, with 2 vellum flyleaves from a 12th-century Italian manuscript sermon on the life of St. Stephen (sides rubbed and slightly wormed, rebacked).
