Black morocco gilt by Fiona Campbell, covers with an overall design of stylised open books, flat spine lettered length-ways and dated at foot, original covers cut down and used as pastedowns, hand-printed free endpapers in brown and black, top edge gilt, half morocco chemise with title and date repeated, original cloth slipcase, front endpaper stamped with gilt binder's mark and date '1960.' Provenance: J.R. Abbey (bookplate, accession number 'J.A.7015' and date '5.4.1960' at rear, sold Sotheby's 19 October 1970 lot 2853). Exhibited: London, Arts Council (1965), no.1.
