A RARE DUTCH-DECORATED 'THE MUSIC PARTY' FLUTED DISH
The porcelain early 18th century, the decoration later 18th century
Enamelled at the centre with a seated lady conductor holding her baton beside her sheet music on a stand, a seated gentleman playing a double-bass to her right and a lady standing holding a harp to her left in a rural setting, below the fluted sides with two oval panels depicting a couple eating fruit beside a gentleman climbing a ladder to pick further fruit, and two panels depicting stag-hunting, all reserved on an iron-red and gilt floral ground below the foliate rim, the reverse with four iron-red floral sprays
