Lot Essay

This model of chair, often called a 'Gibson' chair, is characterised by the arrangement of spindles in the back forming a 'W' shape, in combination with a broad and deep 'D' shaped seat. Once common in North Eastern Leinster, the model was still being made right up until the 1940s.
