The rim cast with ANNO DOMINI M*CCCCC*XXXVII, above a band of crocketed ornament, with twin angular handles
5¾in. (14.5cm.) diameter; 5 3/8in. (13.6cm.) high;
and an associated bronze double ended pestle -- 8¾in. (22.3cm.) long
