As discussed in the introduction the Koh Ker period saw the introduction of a, temporary, more vigorous style, even inclining towards a gigantism. Nevertheless the bodies of these deities were carved with a certain movement and softness as can be viewed from this imposing female torso. A comparable large torso, although four-armed, is published by Sherman Lee in Ancient Cambodian Sculpture, New York 1969, pl. 12.
