This estate has been re-vitalised, following its acquisition in1996 by Bertrand Devillard (co-owner of Domaine Jacques Prieur). The wines have been quietly amassing awards at European blind-tasting panels (2 Golds & 2 Silvers, for the Perdrix 1997), but have as yet been little exported. Like many 1997s, these two are now eminently drinkable, and the Echézeaux will gain further complexities. AH
