French-bottled: Henri de Villamont This cuvée consists of Pommard Petits Epenots, Noizons, Arvelets and Rugiens Tasting note: Rich purple-garnet, with opulent Pinot Noir and spicy aromas. In common with many 1999s, the middle palate is presently closed-up, yet the quality of the vintage shines out brightly. Mouth-coating richness on the finish, with good balance and potential. AH
