Towne's 1815 tour is documented from the 28 August to the 5 September and was Towne's last tour. Our work is numbered '5' and is of Tothill 11-12 o'clock, the watercolour numbered '7' is of Tothill from 12-1 o'clock and is in the collection of Museum of Art of Rhode Island School of Design, a further drawing executed on the 31st August is inscribed Plymouth 5-6 o'clock.
