The present watercolour was the basis for the lithograph representing Cambridge in Birket Foster's Some Places of Note in England, published in 1888. Other sites depicted include Hampton Court, Hastings, and Lambeth Palace in Oxford. This view is typically rich in incident and detail, and shows King's College from King's Parade.
