A well detailed wood and metal fully rigged and planked static display model of a 12-gun brig (1830)
built by M.Saville-Smithin from plans by H.A.Underhill with masts, spars and stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging, carved animal figurehead, anchors, catheads, gratings, bitts, belaying rails and pins, deck rails, companionways, stove pipe, capstan, deck lights, upper deck guns in carriages and slides, ship's boats with bottom boards, thwarts and oars and many other details. The hull, fully, planked in lime, is copper plated to the waterline. Finished in black, white and natural wood, with glazed quarter cabin windows and decorated transom (bowsprit damaged) -- 30½ x 48in. (77.5 x 122cm.) Stand
