A WELL-PRESENTED 1:1200 SCALE WATERLINE MODEL OF THE UNION-CASTLE LINE'S T.S. BRAEMAR CASTLE (1952)
modelled by R. Chapman with masts with derricks, rigging, anchors, anchor winches, fairleads, bollards and other deck fittings, the superstructure with bridge with open bridge over, ten covered lifeboats in davits, funnel with safety valve extension pipes and many other details. The carved hull with portholes, is finished in red below the waterline, grey, white and wood and mounted sailing in a calm sea within wood-bound glazed case with legend. Measurements overall -- 3½ x 9in. (9 x 23cm.)
