probably French; comprising an 8 x 8cm. wood sliding box camera with removable focusing screen and lacquered-brass bound single meniscus lens (lacks pivoting cover), single 7 x 8cm. plate holder the back hinges marked PM&Co. Patent; a wood boxform seven-plate holder holding two silvered-copper plates; a wood chemical box holding glass chemical bottles with labels Daguerreotype. huile d'olive, Daguerreotype. Iode pur, Le Daguerreotype. Hyposulfite de Soude pur; wood fuming box the exterior with built in thermometer scaled from 25-75 and glass viewing window with sliding wood cover, tin drip tray, wood-plate holder and box; all contained in a fitted wood box
