MARILYN MONROE 16MM COLOR FILM FOOTAGE TITLED "SEVEN SIRENS"
1946
A vintage reel of 16-millimeter color film footage titled "Seven Sirens" which features a nineteen-year old Norma Jeane Baker and six other beauties modeling at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. Shot for a talk show about photography techniques hosted by KFI Radio (a station still in existence in L.A.) in 1946, this approximate three-minute film first shows MM standing in line wearing a conservative blouse, moves on to the other models, and then ends with MM attired a bikini. The soon-to-be Marilyn Monroe clearly had 'what it took' as she looks stellar compared to the other 'sirens' next to her. A leader on the film notes Harold F. Jenkins'/World in Color/Productions/Presents/Seven Sirens/Photography/Leo Caloia; included is the vintage green and blue film box also noting World in Color Productions and a VHS videocassette transfer.
Please note this film, though in color, is now very faded due to age and almost appears to be black and white.
