Rousseau's tomb, a fan, the paper leaf printed with a stipple engraving and hand-coloured with two young women at Rousseau's tomb, the sticks of pierced wood, the guardsticks with ivory filets - 10in. (25cm), French, late 18th century; La Journée des Claques, a fan, the silk fringed paper leaf with three hand coloured etchings depicting the events of 28th February 1791 when Louis XVI rejected the offer of personal guard by a group of aristocrats who were subsequently asked to lay down their arms, with traces of sequin decoration, the verso printed with a description of the events, wooden sticks with bone filets - 11 ½in. (30cm), French 1791, slightly worn; and 'La gloire de la Nation Française', a rare printed fan, the paper leaf with symbols celebrating the abolition of the feudal system including the cockerel supporting the bonnet of liberty in the centre before a globe representing France and a portrait of Louis XVI Restaurateur de la liberté in a medallion on the right, bearing the dates of 14 July, 5+6 October 1789 and 4 February 1790 at the bottom, the verso with the lines of the song 'Le bonheur de la France', the sticks of wood with bone filets - 11in.
