A patchwork coverlet, pieced from hexagons of brightly printed dress cottons, with a deep chintz border quilted to a chevron design, the longer sides pieced at intervals with hexagons arranged into flowerheads--106 x 102in. (269 x 259cm.), late 19th century, with a collection of paper templates dated 1888
