CARACCIOLUS, Robertus (1425-95). Opera varia. Edited by Philippus de Rotingo (fl. 15th century). Venice: Georgius Arrivabenus for Bernardinus Rasina (Rasma) and Benedictus Fontana, 16 May 1496.
Chancery 4° and royal half-sheet 8° (188 x 129mm). Gothic type, full-page woodcut printer's device, initials in red. (Small wormholes in final few quires affecting a few letters.) Contemporary German blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards [Kyriss shop 153, unlocalised], two brass fore-edge catches (clasps renewed). Provenance: some contemporary marginal annotations -- Erhard Kolb of Ingolstadt, inscription dated 1529 -- Wilhelm Hüngerl, inscription dated Seekirchen 1558 -- L.H.P. Klotz (sale Christie's, 2 November 1994, lot 45).
