Super-chancery 2° (311 x 210mm). Title woodcut depicting the author and his commentators, woodcut initials, woodcut printer's device, roman type, text with commentary surround. (Small wormholes, a little staining.) Old flexible vellum (rebacked).

The title woodcut, composed of two blocks, was also used in Tacuinus's Juvenal (see lot 506), completed two weeks later, with the right hand block replaced. HC 12738; BMC V, 529; Essling 794; Sander 5563; Goff P-356.
