the first: signed 'Papileo' (lower left); inscribed 'To Dorothy and Holger', typed 'with many greetings and thanks and much love,' and inscribed 'from Papileo, the "birthday child" (now gradually growing up!)' (on the reverse), and the second: signed and dated 'Feininger 1955' (upper right); inscribed and dated again 'Congratulations, galore! Dear Dorothy The show is wonderful! Yesterday I was overwhelmed love & thanks Papileo! June 1. 1955' (on the reverse)
