Rufus and AJM at Dinner!

A black and white photograph of the huntsman and recipient of this drawing is attached to the reverse.

This drawing is very typical of Munnings's kindness and sense of humor. As Sir Alfred appears to wear a serious expression one can only imagine the conversation. Perhaps, Rufus is offering an explanation for his behavior having thrown Lady Munnings and run away during a hunt with the Devon and Somerset. Munnings appears to be listening intently but with some skepticism.
