An acknowledgement of the Earl's letters and 'the byll therein enclosed concerning th[e] [he]rmyte the which being by me examined and answered that he could not tell whether he spake ev[er] the same trayterous words or not'. An indictment is being drawn up for the hermit to be tried and punished.

Perhaps written at the time of the dissolution of the monasteries, Cromwell's most notorious achievement.
