The King sends the letter with Messieurs de Randwick and de Hemstede, ambassadors of the States General, who are returning from negotiations for peace with 'Le Roy Tres Chrestien' [Louis XIII], assuring his correspondent that the English have been reasonable, well disposed, and mindful of his interest in this 'pacification'.

Apparently referring to the peace negotiations with Louis XIII after the debacle of Buckingham's expedition to La Rochelle. Peace was finally concluded in April 1629.
