The documents by which Nelson and his wife effected the sale of their matrimonial home, three days before their final separation. Roundwood, near Ipswich, had been bought by them four years previously, although Nelson in fact never stayed there. He left Fanny, never to see her again, on 13 January, and Horatia, his child by Lady Hamilton, was born the same month. (2)
