Oblong 4° (255 x 350mm). Engraved throughout, plate no.392. (Lightly discoloured at upper and lower margins, a little frayed at lower margin, repair at lower corner of title, outer bifolium rehinged.) Stitched.
FIRST EDITION. Cecil Hopkinson (A bibliography of the works of Giuseppe Verdi, 1973) complains of this edition that 'no copy has come to light'; in fact a copy is held at the British Library.
