Each boat-shaped, on oval spreading foot, with reeded borders, the two drop-ring handles with lion's mask terminals, the detachable slightly domed cover with acanthus bud finial, the body and cover each engraved with a lozenge-of-arms within ribbon-tied floral garlands, marked on base and cover

The arms are those of maiden of the Short family of Tenterden, co. Kent. (4)
