A George II silver salver
Mark of Paul de Lamerie, London, 1732
Square with incurved angles, on four scroll bracket feet, with moulded border, chased with a band of diaperwork, foliate scrolls and cartouches engraved with male and female busts, the centre engraved with a coat-of-arms in a baroque cartouche, the angles later engraved with crests, marked on reverse

The arms are those of Watson quartering Monson as borne by the Hon. Lewis Monson, second son of William, 1st Baron Monson (d.1748) and his wife Lady Margaret Watson, youngest daughter of Lewis, 1st Earl of Rockingham (d.1724). Lewis Monson assumed the surname and arms of Watson in accordance with the will of his cousin Thomas, 3rd Earl of Rockingham. He was later created Baron Sonds of the second creation in 1760.
