Château Cheval-Blanc--Vintage 1950
Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé (A)
Levels: two bottom neck and one top shoulder, faded and badly bin-soiled labels, vintage visible on fully branded Château cork
Tasted from this cellar. Deep rich garnet red, very fine for its age. Nice aroma, warm and plummy, hint of smoke. Refined classic Cheval texture, ripe well rounded, hint of liquorice, lots of leathery currants, slightly sweet and a fine even finish. A fine voluptuous wine. Still has time. Now - 2010 Oct 2003 DW
