Levels: one top, one just below top and one upper shoulder
"Mixed notes due to different bottlingsin its early days. I would have thought the '59 an archetypal Lalande and happily, judging by two recent notes, it has turned out well: a lovely, fruity, fragrant, spicy bouquet; dry, perfect weight and flavour,rich yet lissome (provenance Nicolas, Paris at a Rodenstock tasting in September 1994, and two months later, a really spectacular imp/aerial: almost opaque; fruity, chunky, peppery, bouquet conjuring up its terroir and chai. Last noted at Karl-Heinz Wolf's Pichon-Lalande diner in Aschau, Nov 1994. At best *****" MB, Vintage Wine
