Each with châpeau de gendarme padded backs and seats covered in cream silk, over bowed fluted seatrails, on turned tapering fluted legs, one stamped ORTE, both bearing a paper dealer's label Voruz de Vaux and both inscribed 1949, originally painted (2)

The stamp found is probably that of Antoine Nicolas Delaporte, maître in 1762.
