A Nymphenburg figure of a putto in disguise as Hercules
Circa 1760, impressed , over Bavarian shield mark
Modelled by Franz Anton Bustelli, with an agressive expression and looking slightly to his right, wearing a lion's pelt over his head and back, its paws draped over his hips to cover his loins, guesturing with his raised right hand and supporting a long club with his left hand, standing barefoot with his weight on his right foot, his left foot resting on a rock on a shaped flat mound base incised and painted with tufts of grass and edged with sweeping gilt scrolls (right arm restuck, slight chipping to underside edge of base at back)
