A group of 19th century mourning jewellery,
comprising seven brooches and a ring; brooches include: a rectangular panel with hair set centre, half pearl surround and amethyst border; one with half pearl surround and snake textured surround; a small curved example with glazed front and hinged locket rear; and a large oval locket back with applied pearl and lasque diamond floral motif against a black enamel ground; the ring with hair set centre under glass with seed pearl surround forming a rounded rectangle, with split shoulders to a plain shank.
