Hamilton, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was the first watch company to introduce an electric wristwatch into its production line. The movement was patented by Hamilton in the United States in 1954.

The present lot is especially rare as it comes with an original Hamilton two-tone leather strap and 14K gold buckle.
