This lot is accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extrait des Registres confirming production in 1939 and its subsequent sale on 25 January, 1940.

This model uses the 12'''-120 caliber with an indirectly driven center seconds hand developed by Victorin Piguet. A similar example with center seconds is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, p. 182.
