The gilt brass movement with verge escapement, chain fusee, chased and engraved floral and scroll decoration to the cock and foot, tapered cylindrical pillars, quarter hour repeating on mounted bell, maker engraved gilt brass dust cap, the gilt dial with black Roman numerals bordered by black Arabic five minute divisions, stylized blued steel hands, all hinged within a circular inner case with finely detailed pierced and engraved floral, bird and scroll decoration to the band, the outer case with pierced and engraved floral and scroll decoration to the bezel, the reverse is centered by a detailed scene in high relief depicting a classical figure playing a lyre in the woods surrounded by numerous animals, including an elephant, lion, deer, dog and peacock, bordered by pierced and engraved floral, bird and scroll decoration, quarter repeat mechanism activated through the pendant, cuvette, dial and movement signed
