With nickel finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf's tooth winding, engine-turned gold cuvette enhanced with polychrome enamel painted portrait miniature of a woman, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands, subsidiary seconds, pierced chronograph hand, the circular case with blue and red enamel monogram to the hinged back (No. 207778), chronograph activated through button in the crown, chronograph locking mechanism to the band, case, dial and movement signed
49 mm. diam.

Lot Essay

This watch is accompanied by a letter dated 13 July 1937 from Patek Philippe to Miss. Milfred Leo Clemens of Portland, Oregon, USA stating that this watch was made for Mr. J.H. Evans in 1892 and sold on September 5th of that year. The letter also describes the enamel monogram and the enamel miniature.
