With nickel-finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf's tooth winding, factory-engraved gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, gold Louis XV hands, the circular case with polychrome blue and violet enamel foliage decoration to the bezel, the hinged back (No. 220197) with polychrome blue and red enamel floral background, enhanced by raised green enamel and textured gold art-nouveau-style chrysenthemum decoration, case, cuvette and movement signed by maker, dial signed by retailer

Lot Essay

This watch is accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the watch in 1897 and its subsequent sale on July 29th, 1898. The Extract specifically mentions the chrysenthemum on the caseback.
