AN UNUSUAL SET OF EIGHT OTTOMAN CARTRIDGES
18th Century
Each of cylindrical form and made of a single piece of ivory (now discoloured) with baluster turns at the base and a fluted bud-shaped finial, the mouth encircled by an incised double line enclosing a row of circles with a small pellet of red wax(?) at its centre, mounted on a later cloth-covered board
10½in. (26.7cm.) wide
