AN ENGLISH DAGGER Circa 1620-30
With tapering saw-backed single-edged blade double-edged at the point and with ricasso, swelling flattened quillons with a small button on each tip and encrusted with silver tendrils bearing flower-heads and foliage within borders of silver-encrusted beadwork, and one-piece fluted dark horn handle (cracked) swelling at the pommel (worn overall with pitting and rust-patination)
