18th and 19th Century
The first a 16-bore with two-stage twist barrel, the breech section octagonal then sixteen-sided, engraved patent breech, scroll engraved lock and mounts, figured walnut half-stock, chequered grip and fore-end, and original brass-mounted ramrod (some surface rust), Birmingham proof marks; the second converted from flintlock, with scroll engraved lock signed 'Murdoch', walnut half-stock (reduced from full), engraved brass mounts, and associated iron ramrod, Tower private proof marks; the last a 6-bore duck gun signed 'Naylor', with half-stock and no provision for a ramrod (in worn condition), Birmingham proof marks
