A CASED 120-BORE ADAMS 1851 MODEL FIVE-SHOT SELF-COCKING PERCUSSION REVOLVER
No. 11,164 R, circa 1856
With blued octagonal sighted barrel engraved 'Deane, Adams & Deane. 30 King William St.t. London Bridge', case-hardened cylinder with an engraved band at the front, blued border engraved frame with blued safety-stop, blued arbor pin catch, scroll engraved blued trigger-guard, chequered walnut butt with dark horn pommel, and much original finish (scattered light pitting and surface rust): in a relined fitted oak case with accessories including correct Adams bullet mould, leather bags of caps and bullets, spare cylinder with matching serial number, and Dixon powder-flask, the lid with Deane, Adams, & Deane trade label, London proof marks: together with a tin gunpowder canister
