A 64-BORE CENTRAL ITALIAN ROMAN-LOCK BELT PISTOL
Early 18th Century
With slender two-stage barrel with applied moulded brass ring at the muzzle, flat lock engraved with foliage and with chiselled details, figured full stock (fore-stock an old replacement), engraved brass mounts including spurred pommel with grotesque mask cap, and pierced and chiselled side-plate, behind the barrel tang a pierced and chiselled panel centering on a grotesque mask, iron belt hook, and wooden ramrod (tip missing, the iron parts with surface rust)
