A SOUTH ARABIAN LIMESTONE FEMALE FIGURE
Circa 7th-6th Century B.C.
Depicted seated on a block stool, her toes projecting beyond the edge of the integral plinth, her arms bent at the elbow with the forearms projecting forward, the elbows drilled through to the back, the small breasts widely spaced high on the chest, with flaring hair and a raised ridge for the brows that merge with the nose, the eyes incised, the front edge of the plinth inscribed "Wasibat"
