A CORE-FORMED GLASS UNGUENTARIUM
Eastern Mediterranean or Italian, Circa 3rd Century B.C.
Cobalt blue in color, with an ovoid body on a tall stem with outsplayed foot, the cylindrical neck with horizontal disk rim, with an applied white marvered thread wound spirally from the neck, and an applied opaque yellow marvered thread wound spirally from the rim to the lower body, both tooled into a zigzag pattern just below the shoulder, with pronounced vertical indentations on the body
