Circa 1762, gold anchor marks
Liberty modelled seated on a balustrade looking to his right, wearing a wide brimmed hat applied with colourful feathers, an open shirt and jacket painted with flowers, white breeches decorated with red and gilt feathers and black shoes with green flowers, he holds a bird on his knee and rests a foot on one curved branch leading to a floral sconce, with a dog seated at his feet before flowering boccage and a further sconce extending from the balustrade, his companion Matrimony, is similar, seated on a balustrade looking to her left, she wears a yellow hat applied with white feathers, colourful flowered dress, pink boddice and green cape, she holds an empty birdcage and flowers, a sheep seated at her feet, with two branches and floral scones extending from flowering boccage and the balustrade, both modelled on gilt scroll-moulded raised bases (chipping to flowering boccage generally, section lacking from one of Liberty's floral sconces, corner of scrolling base to Matrimony re-stuck)
